We are a city on a hill and a lamp in every home!
We love this picture Jesus gives to his followers of how they are positioned in their cities. Light can be a beacon that people need to see in the dark of night. Light has the ability to vanquish the dark. We are positioned to be seen by those around us but Jesus also reminds then that their public expression also has a private side as well. A lamp in every home means that our light isn’t just for public moments, but it brightens all areas of our lives.
This isn’t the mission or the calling of just one but this is the calling of all of those who follow Jesus. Our mission is simple, We help people take their next step in following Jesus.
Everyone has a step to take. These steps have varying levels of importance and significance. Some steps are hard and others effortless, but the result of our steps are the journey of faith that we are all called to walk.
Our steps create movement— Nobody runs a great distance without the first step. Nobody does anything significant without a first step. Even the long road of our salvation began with a first step carrying a cross to Calvary’s hill and walking out of a grave required a step! This is our first step and we hope you will take this step with us!
We launched this church out of obedience and a desire to see the light of Christ shine bright in the public spaces and in all areas of our lives. Our prayer is for the Kingdom to come in this area as it is in heaven!
